Professor Andrew Spencer

Professor Spencer read Neurobiology at the University of Sussex and obtained a doctorate in Linguistics from the University of Essex in 1980.

His research interests include morphology, Slavic linguistics, (especially Russian morphosyntax), non-Slavic languages of the FSU, and phonology. He is the author of Morphological Theory (Blackwell, 1991), and Phonology (Blackwell, 1996) and editor (with A. Zwicky) of Handbook of Morphology (Blackwell 1998).
