Rachel completed both her BA and MA in the Department of Linguistics at SOAS, and has now embarked on a PhD in Field Linguistics.

She plans to work on Mlomp, a Diola language spoken in southern Senegal. As well as creating some language resources for archive, she will focus particularly on aspects of this language's nominal and verbal derivational morphology.
