Accommodation for participantsIncluded in the price of the summer school are 13 nights accommodation at Dinwiddy House halls of residence, located just a short walk from Kings Cross Underground Station between SOAS and the trendy Islington area of London with its wide range of restaurants, bars and nightlife. Dinwiddy House has 510 single en-suite rooms set around a landscaped courtyard. Rooms are arranged in flats of five, six, or seven bedrooms. Each flat is self-contained with a shared kitchen and dining area comprising two cookers, two fridges, two sinks, a microwave oven and a freezer.
Residents have an individual key to their rooms which each have its own en-suite shower, toilet and basin. Each room has a bed, desk, chair, bookcase, wardrobe and drawers as well as a telephone and an internet point for a broadband internet service (provided by Keycom).
All residents have access to a common room with TV, DVD, pool table and vending machines, on-site launderette and bike storage facilities. For the safety and security of residents Dinwiddy House has an entry card system, 24-hour security staff and CCTV cameras in and around the building.
