The art of grammar writing

The aim of the course is to become familiar with the kind of decisions that you are confronted with while writing a grammar. We will look at different practices, discuss pro's and con's, so that the partcipants are able to make up their mind and are prepared for a grammar writing task. Topics will include the genre of the descriptive grammar, organisation (of the book and the work), what should be included in the grammar, and how it should be labelled, and how to handle theoretical consequences of observations on the language under description.
