Semantic Fieldwork

In order to uncover and adequately describe the meaning(s) of a sentence in a language it is necessary to test not only grammaticality, but also the felicity of a sentence. This is done through semantic fieldwork, and in this course we will focus on documenting the meanings of phenomena such as tense, aspect and modality through constructing contexts and testing felicity.
