Seminars

HRELP and the Linguistics Department at SOAS host a number of seminars throughout the year.

The Linguistics Departmental Seminar Series is a forum for speakers to present their work to an audience of fellow academics and students of Linguistics. These seminars are open to members of SOAS and the wider academic community. These seminars are usually held on Tuesdays at 3.30pm, in room 4421 in the SOAS Main Building. The current schedule is available here. Please contact Sophie Salffner (ss123@soas.ac.uk) the convenor, if you have any queries. See the box on the right for previous seminars in the series

ELAR Occasional Seminars are formal and informal talks by visitors and depositors to the Endangered Languages Archive (ELAR), and by representatives from ELAR and other archives. These seminars are a forum for the presentation and discussion of all topics related to preparing resources for archiving, the archiving process, and current topics in archive development and lanugage documentation. Talks take place approximately monthly, and are open to all interested persons.
